Pre-requisites:
Completion of the beginner course.
Course Outline:
- Re-familiarisation with the basics covered on the beginner course
- Demonstration of other implements used in horse logging (e.g the forwarder)
- How to assess risks in the woodland and to ensure the safety of the horse and the team.
- Extracting fallen and hung up trees in a safe and controlled manner.
- LOTS of long reining experience.
This course is a learning opportunity and the pace is intended to ensure that everyone has the time to learn.
